Johor Corporation as a Johor State Economic Development Agency is given the important role of implementing and strengthening the state’s entrepreneur development programmes. Johor Corporation’s involvement is not limited to supporting the development of individuals as entrepreneurs yet creating business opportunities under the concept of Johor Corporation Community of Entreprises.


The Johor Corporation Entrepreneur Development Programme is implemented through various approaches by focusing on two target groups. First, to support entrepreneur development and opening up of business opportunities to increase the number and strengthen the quality of entrepreneurs in Johor. Second, to create competitive entrepreneurs who are able to contribute yearly through dividends and generate strategic social impacts to Johor Corporation and its Group of Companies.

To ensure that the Intrapreneur Scheme continues to be relevant, Johor Corporation is introducing a new Scheme, the Intrapreneur Scheme 2.0. It is an improvement to existing schemes that provide incentives for intrapreneur and intrapreneur to be. Among the proactive and significant measures through these schemes are, intrapreneur as the prime shareholder in their own company and the opportunity to graduate within 5 years of participation.
As at 31 Disember 2017, there were 27 companies placed under the intrapreneur 2.0 scheme with a turnover of RM 411 million.



As at January 2018, there are 10 entrepreneur companies under Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad; KPJ Healthcare Berhad (six); QSR Brands (M) Holdings Sdn Bhd (one);Waqaf An-Nur Corporation Berhad (two) and  eight companies under Johor Corporation.

In tandem with government’s aspiration, Johor Corporation strives to increase the number of entrepreneurs through Program Membangunkan Usahawan Bumiputera. One of the programmes are to develop Halal Supply Chain for Poultry Industry. The objectives of the programme are:-

  • To create opportunities and accelerate Bumiputera involvement in poultry industry.
  • To ensure competitiveness and sustainability of the poultry chain industry.
  • To promote Malaysia as a halal hub for the supply of chicken products.

Through strategic collaboration with Johor State of Department of Economy Planning, Johor Corporation plays the role as Integrator and Project Manager for Pembangunan Usahawan Bumiputera dalam Rantaian Halal Industri Ayam Pedaging Berskala Besar Negeri Johor. It will be developed in five phases starting from 2018 until 2023 involving 80 Bumiputera entrepreneurs. Johor Corporation aims to develop 10 broilers in 2018 and 2019 while 20 broilers in 2020 - 2023. The development of broiler houses for 10 broilers will be built in 2018. Two million of birds will be produced by 2019 in estimation.
