The Palm Oil Business Division consist of the plantations and mills of JCorp, the palm oil businesses of Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad, Sindora Berhad and EPA Management Sdn. Bhd. We manage 105,000 hectares of Palm Oil Plantations and 95 percent of its planted area lies in Malaysia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea (PNG). The plantations are under the management of Kulim (Malaysia) Bhd, a public listed company under Johor Corporation.Today, Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad has become one of the major players in the palm oil industry, in this region. It was achieved following the acquisition of 90 per cent equity in the New Britain Palm Oil Limited (NBPOL), which is one of the largest plantation group in Papua New Guinea. In 1992, Johor Corporation had introduced a special housing scheme called BAKTILADANG, aimed to benefit the lower income earners working in the plantations. The objective of the scheme is to potray a new image working in the plantation, as well as to encourage more locals to work in the plantation.
